If your not handy and don’t have all the tools, this is not something to attempt unless your adventurous.Also I would try to figure out what’s causing the settlement or bucking to keep it from occurring again.

To this day I still don't know what happened or why she left so abruptly but all I know is it took my PM a while to find her and get a settlement from her for breaking her lease agreement.

I'm not saying no one ever gets set up - I suspect there's a decent number of movie stars, sports athletes, and other "famous" people that end up with settlements over BS - but unless you're using a pseudonym here, there's a good chance you're nobody just like the rest of us and no one knows you have anything nor wants your stuff, so you can probably relax.

You will want to look for closing Attorneys in NY state (not title companies) & you should be looking for two of them because NY does not allow the same attorney doing title work to also be the settlement agent.
