Firstly hello everyone, my first post here but I've been consuming a lot from this community over the last 3 months.I'm currently looking at closing on a new property which will become my primary residence.

The problem is then that all the "BRRR" articles and podcasts they've consumed have embedded the idea in their heads that spending any money on a rental property is bad, and thus they should continue waiting for that "free" house they keep hearing so much about everyone else getting.

It is very time consuming, especially since I’m trying to do this while working a full time job.

Those laws are put in place to protect the public.My advice is to get licensed and subject yourself to the laws that are in place to protect consumers. 

I have almost all of my consumer debt paid.  

So, putting the property in an LLC typically means that you’ve eliminated the residential/consumer type mortgage - the one most people want because of the long term low fixed rates.Lots of people say to just close in your name and then afterwards quit claim to your LLC.

It is surely a painful and time consuming process and I guess you also need to weigh whether the amount you need to recover is worth the additional costs and time.

But I do like the idea of just getting into the game, learning the hard first-timer lessons, and being able to lean on the team of people that a turnkey offers while still earning some modest cash flow.

In the US we did back in 2009, but it was very time consuming and was tough to do on food, given most of the coupons are for very unhealthy food.

For example I hate doing drywall jobs, it is messy, unhealthy, and time consuming and very difficult the estimate.
