Seattle area proper from what I read has some tough landlord laws but you get out of the major area its pretty much like anywhere else.I find property tax's to be a major concern for long term holds.. but for sure in TX is you live there and dont pay income tax on your income that mitigates what is some of the highest property tax's in the country.. its when you live in HIGH tax states and invest in HIGH property tax states that you can get a double whammy you dont understand until you have been through 3 or for income tax years to understand bottom line.. property tax's are unforgiving and a constant.
