I also agree with Jon about the conference where for a fraction of the cost you can hear from many top investors from many different fields and specialties.

However, I've had tenants that had terrible credit because of medical bills and divorce where they were very good tenants and paid on time every month.I just ask them WHY is their credit so bad.

I second the LinkedIn recommendation - it's a great place to find people from just about any field, and people who have said on there that they're willing to be contacted for business opportunities are usually serious, and will respond.I'd take the time to get a few endorsements from old colleagues / friends before sending out contacts though.

There is a vinyl siding product that uses adhesive instead of nails, but it has not been in field use long enough for me to consider it.
