Most people would find that excessive, but it is very inexpensive.If you are used to just living in a bedroom, my advice is either find another room to rent or move into a property and rent out your extra bedrooms.As I have gotten older with a family, I value a nice home in a good neighborhood more than I did when I was younger.

I think it would be a great opportunity to share knowledge and meet people with common interests in RE investing/landlording/financing/etc. 

If you are dealing in retail or larger commercial projects, a NY attorney should be able to help you as long as they have what we call a "local counsel" consultant or a member of their firm with some knowledge in that State, which most commercial lawyers do.

IF THEY WANT TO TAKE UP AN EXTRA 20 MINUTES OF YOUR TIME AND JUST TALK, BE A DECENT PERSON AND LISTEN.This guy was an old-timer, well-off and he said he just liked us because we confirmed times to show up for viewing the house and never tried to act too cool for the property or totally low-ball him.

At any rate, I am here to increase my knowledge of real estate investing and become an active partner in a foundation my wife has already built. 

I would like any recommendations/referrals for a real estate agent(s) who is knowledgeable, and patient, in the area of multi-unit investing by a newbie (and spouse).

Also, with interest rates “high” you might calculate how much extra $$ the leverage will bring in and if you have the bandwidth to pay the mortgages if the dont rent out for a while or rents decline.  

Get a knowledgeable real estate lawyer to look it over.
