I read the writing on the walls way back in the late 80's and 90's and systematically chemically stripped or physically removed any suspected lead painted trim, clapboards, antique doors, etc. from 1983 through 1989. 

Should I be following the same principles even though only one side/door will be collecting rent while I live in the other?

My cleaner lives next door and so far she’s been ok with using hers for the laundry.

Doesn't hurt to ask, just knock on the door. 

If  tile fits into your budget you can really make that room attractive.Hard to tell how rough it is in pic but Could possibly just paint it the way it is.Self leveling concrete then paint.I dont think you have the height at the doors but some people just lay pavers right on top (not bonded)

Not so much bad credit, but that record shuts a lot of doors in their face.

I Own the one next door and 7 months ago it appraised for $507,000.

Aside from this property I have 10 other properties (34 doors) that I manage myself in my spare time (I have a full time very demanding day time job).
