There are definitely markets where buying retail and renting may work and it all depends on the exact property and situation, but I've seen people take it off the noggin renting their primary home.

Negotiate, Negotiate and Negotiate...Also... you might want to let them know that as an investor you frequently need contractors for jobs and that if they are doing great work (and price is insinuated) then you would call on them in the future... oh, and they will also understand that investors have friends who are also investors...

Only gas companies can answer the OP's question, really. 4-6 weeks is normal for busy utility companies, and WOs are issued to service a client, either new or reconnecting service, they guide their employees where to go and what to do, pretty much like a scope of work and timeline.

Hi Judy,Welcome to BP, this is a great website and resource for all types of real estate investing.I always recommend these 3 things to beginners:1) Do a lot of research here2) Do not spend a lot of money with coaches, it would be much better to put that money to work and learn from experience, I'm not against coaches or education, but you need to be careful as there are some that are really bad3) There are many real estate clubs out there, visit them, select your favorites and meet other investors working your area.
