When I tried to evict her the first time, the court ruled that she had common law marriage, as they had been living together for long enough and that she'd have 1 month to get her stuff and move out.I went to court 1 month later and now there is a new law in NC preventing evictions.

Or anything they said would have prevented you from getting this approved?

Lots of tech companies have planted roots here the last 10 years and there has been a large influx of good jobs. 

Do local regulations prevent you from not renewing leases at the old rate and just going straight to $1,200? 

Just know that it will take 6 months to a year before you know that you have rooted all the bed bugs out.

Agents screw up stuff (even me), however, a buyer that understands (more than just trusting his agent) what he is committed prevents a lot of bad stuff.

I always recommend to abide by city regulations to prevent fines and potentially being shut down.

Inform you tenants what is being done and ask their help in preventing animal raids in the future. 

You would tell them how you and the deceased’s brother paid the property taxes every year to prevent the county from foreclosing and maintained the property to prevent waste and dereliction.
