It was unique for the area because it was across the street from a golf course and in a desirable community but it was an older community with newer, energy efficient homes near by.

Ask anyone who is in the business for references (broker, etc) and just start grabbing coffee or lunch to talk about what you want to do, and see if their expertise matches what you want to accomplish.

When I was looking for jobs at Asset Management firms, I used LinkedIn to find anyone I had a connection with, school, prior jobs, friends of friends ect, reached out to them, and asked to meet for coffee. 

We have about 70 members and we meet up once a month in the Kill Devil Hills or Nags Head area at coffee shops or local businesses.

I always looked at it as kind of a burden as I just sort of fell into it, but I'm starting to realize all the valuable lessons that managing that property has taught me.Anyway, I love meeting new people, so if there is anyone local on here that would like to get together for a coffee hit me up!

also small coffee stands in parking lots  I can keep naming them but most all of them will make more money with 100k than what you would make with rentals.. if money is what your after.
