They are more efficient than conventional hwh because you are not running them to keep water hot "just in case" you might need it 24/7.

Just like any person in the business, they want to make their customers happy and get the deal done as efficiently as possible.

It takes some time to get those guidelines figured out, but as you move forward it helps make you much more efficient in terms of looking at properties and analyzing. 

Mini splits are easy to install yourself because they come precharged and require no special tools to install and they are also the most efficient heat pump from what I understand.  

The only area of weakness that we have experienced is communication.
