Please let me know if I am incorrect in understanding the scenario.If this is the case - it will depend on many many factors that only your accountant can say for certain1) Will parts of the renovation be a repair or an improvement.Repairs are immediately expensed while improvements are capitalized unless they fall under a de minimis safe harbor.Then whether your increased expenses will lower your tax liability will depend if you are eligible to use passive losses from rental activities against your other income.

@Jorge De Jesus well all of the apartments are full, it's just the RV spots that aren't full, if you took those spots out, it's still worth more than $400k

Hey @Clay Packel, I have a Phase I report from a seller in Delaware County that has a proposal dated May 3rd, work performed on May 13th and report dated on May 23rd...so 20 days.

And that if you flip properties repeatedly in France you need to register as a "marchand de bien" which has different tax implications.
