If you're going to be getting financing from a partner, I think it makes sense to start courting potential partners and start hunting for deals.

If you buy a house that doesn't need any work and put 20% down, when you refinance shortly thereafter the property will (likely) appraise for about the same amount, so you won't be able to access your 20% down because the loan proceeds won't be any higher.

Does anyone in Texas or specifically the Travis County area know if we are able to proceed with the eviction process?

If so, what do you suggest I do before proceeding?

The only issue is after doing my due diligence I see it’s more than 100k owed in back taxes, should I proceed and try to wholesale it or just move on?

Or, keep collecting partial rent for next few months till court system is fully functional and scheduling prompt hearings again?  

We are prepared to start legal proceedings if necessary.

Does anyone have any experience with getting REPS status and immediately investing the money in real estate from the sale proceeds to avoid a large tax bill?
