I have pulled cash out of one property for another but the property it came from could still support the debt service on its own, so the next property was just a bonus.

If you have a portfolio of properties that aren't cashflowing well, you have to have some serious reserve capital to be able to handle hiccups like vacancies and capital expenses etc.I buy with cash flow as a priority, appreciation as a bonus IF it happens.
