The point here is that a straight forward approach to joining a US based LLC and making investments may very well be the worst tax idea that you could come up with, considering the available family member willing to do business with you.

Glad to see you've joined and we hope to see you stick with it.I recommend the podcasts to learn a lot of the basics and at the same time get an idea of other books that are recommended.

I am certainly going to be looking at joining some REIAs, the advice alone seems to be worth it let alone potential hard money lender connections as well as wholesale connections both buying and selling.

I have joined a local REI and look forward to the meeting in Jan.
