Scott, My Houston notes would be $30k-$70k with interest at 9 or 10 and payments for 14-25 years.

Dallas, Houston, Philly and a few others with significantly lower costs of living, and a much better price to rent ratio.  

Instead, I switched to SFR's in Houston County and now have 3 properties.  

There is a Brokerage in Houston called StepStone Realty that is geared to investors with fairly low fees.
