You can't have trip hazards, so if you have large sections of concrete that are lifting up and would cause someone to trip, they will likely call that out.  

@Chris PolicicchioEd Robinson - Robinson LawI've done business with Ed in the past and know he likes to focus on RE/Bus law and has done a # of things regarding foreclosures - I'd guess a note/mortgage would be in his wheelhouse as well.

Since you like/want to travel you could potentially use the unit you occupy as an airb&b when you're away on a trip to make a couple extra bucks.

I dont think Gregg Marshall at WSU took advantage until recently - I noticed in the Bus Journal he transferred the deed to his house to an LLC he set up so I'm assuming his accountant finally got with it and he set up an LLC taxed as an Scorp to take the payments from the school in lieu of them paying him directly.Disclaimer - I'm not a tax professional - simply a guy who likes to read and attempt to understand the nuances of the tax code.  

Thanks in part to road trips being a hobby of mine, I'm at least semi-familiar with a fairly large portion of the state, though most of my knowledge is centered around the Phoenix metropolitan area.Looking forward to contributing more and making connections!
