Hi guys.I am moving to VA and would like to ask a few questions and connect with people in the area...Where do I find wholesalers for properties in Virginia Beach region?

I am out of the area (for now, moving to VA soon) and looking for a cash off-market deals with the following criteria, and wonder if in this market those could be found:- under $120K- needs only cosmetic renovation ($10K investment or so)- 2+bdr/2+bathrooms (ideally 3/2)- 1500+sf- ideally built after 1980 (to avoid environmental inspections)- not in flood zone- in a safe middle class area- Virginia Beach or Chesapeake, maybe some Norfolk but in better areas If I look at MLS, of course everything is much higher.

Honestly, the goal is "get the kid through college, then hit the beach except when I have to manage the properties". 1031 exchange is nice, but not mandatory, the other option is just buy and hold whatever you've got.

Hi James,You could take the money and run--then rent a nice 1 bedroom bachelor pad apartment with a view of the Ocean, and work from the hot tub by the pool.Or, if that's too much $$$, roommate up in a beach area apartment and still do the hot tub thing.Or. couch surf at your parents place until you get yourself where you want to be financially.Apartments: https://www.apartments.com/apartments/max-1-bedrooms/?

We have one STR at Ocean Isle Beach, NC.

I know that area very well and know a STR will do good there as it will be close to 2 amazing beaches. 

The property is in Daytona Beach, FL right near the beach.

It is right on the water, has a beach, is right next to a dock, gets amazing sunset because of where it is located and it is in a beautiful neighborhood - everyone loves it but it needs a lot of work.
