Why don't you go on zillow and look for rental properties for lease in the area, and call the agents or management companies.2.

We have 1 rental property and hope to build more capital through flipping and eventually build our buy and hold portfolio.

After a year, you can move out, convert it to a rental property, and then use a conventional loan with a low down payment to purchase another multi-unit property as your new primary residence.
