Its the interactions-learning from mentors mistakes, helping tenant buyers into homeownership etc.Nothing beats a heart warming story

We decided to add a third story addition as well.

We obviously have a lot to learn, it just doesn't feel like a good start (what I meant by feeling deflated).He also has a pretty convincing sob story about how he needs the rent money he should be paying me to put a security deposit down for another apartment.

That means that if you owned a few stores along Yonge Street with some offices or apartments above, you were in luck, because the government had just declared that you could build 20, 30, or 40 stories instead of two, three, or four.

If everyone is up for it I can work on organizing a get together at some place and sharing our stories. 

I have listened to some of his stories and I am still trying to grasp what he wants to do with his sales proceeds.  

Long story short, I calculate it myself for each payment that comes in and book it to a Discount Earned account in the accounting software (QB in my case).

. :)   I know the idea of decking over probably sounds like a hack and that it would look terrible, but I was inspired by the old craftsman style wooden front porches when I decided how to finish it out and used it as an opportunity to add a little personality to the front of the house. 

I'll post pictures in the future to show the rehab process and update this as the story unfolds.
