In some areas, code enforcement has bigger fish to fry than an existing unpermitted addition, as long as it is not obviously a zoning violation, there are no life safety issues, and the neighbors haven't complained.

@Kevin Jorgensen,Right now, home prices are a delicate balance between supply and demand, and the availability of financing.Demand is a big factor driving prices, but demand is being artificially dampened by tight lending guidelines (as opposed to the predatory lending environment which precipitated the crash).

shop vac them up and tell tenant that they need to properly dispose of their cigarette butts you have no problem making it a smoke free environment if they can't comply.Yup drop off a notice and if you feel like adding any additional clean up will be charge of $25.00 go ahead.We had decks and patio's in winter the butts went over the edge in spring it looked like a ashtray,, notice went out every spring and we charged units where cigarette butts were tossed out of for cleanup if they didn't go down and clean them up themselves..
