Unfortunately Shop class has been a thing of the past in high schools around this country for many years now.A great example is here in Florida a local power company hires entry level ground workers (these people have no skills) at $19+ an hour.

It's a 3.5% down so it's a low cost of entry but, like you said, that also means less equity.

From my untrained eye, it definitely improves the ease of entry and return based on initial investment for my position currently.

I would either make a deal on entry level sets with a local vendor if you need numerous sets or look for good used matching pieces that should last several years.

Perhaps your landlord could install a keypad entry then this will never be an issue again.
