Hello BiggerPockets Community,My name is Chris Dawe and I am a San Francisco native who has been studying Real Estate for a few years now and recently started a career in the industry.

I have a condo in San Jose that I bought in 2012 for $166,000 (it has been rented out since the purchase).  

With my current rental I am little by little reaching my goal.I am considering a possible rental (du/tri/quadplex) here, Atlanta, San Antonio, Houston, Nashville, and possibly somewhere in Florida pan handle area.

As a long time renter having lived in Miami, San Antonio, New York, San Francisco and San Diego, i can speak from experience that the increase youre contemplating would upset me and make me move.

While the market in San Diego is pretty competitive I believe there is still plenty of deals ot go around for those willing to work for it.
