I could provide you with a list of properties nationwide, but I'll tell you that our area (Charlotte, NC) we have a huge lack of inventory (major housing shortage), with 135 people per day moving here- so that would be a great market to consider.

Look for houses on sites like Zillow, Redfin, and Realtor.com, and get help from a real estate agent.

However, this site and the BP community ensures there is no "gatekeeping" to proper real estate education.  

We could take that equity and purchase a more expensive home in an equally desirable neighborhood in our new city and push the leverage.

we own a piece of property that currently has 2 4 unit buildings on it, and we are in the planning phase of building 16 additional units on the property. the financing doesn’t seem to be an issue, but we are having difficulty wrapping our heads around the steps / sequence we should be doing things.
