Mar of next year. ) i am looking at starter homes that range between $90k and $120k i will have about $35k-$40k of my own money for a down payment and could possibly need as much as $20k i could save up the $20k in about 8 months. that would move my purchase back to December ishwhat are everyone's thoughts?

I'd also talk to the current owner, so if they want, they can let the tenants in that unit know.Hopefully you are getting their deposits transferred to you (it is the tenants' money and you will have to pay it back in full when they go because you don't know the condition of the unit when they moved in).

The other thing to note, and o don’t remember each counties rules off the top of my head but in some counties you lose the ability to rent the adu if you move out & it’s not owner occupied.
