It was bank owned and there was drug manufacturing going on at the property previously and the bank had to clean up the mess.

This is the first I'm hearing about this.I've looked on the states webpage and there is indeed a certification program, but I can't tell if it's specfically for dealers who are buying/selling mobile homes. 

Right now the best thing I can do is payoff the credit card debt I incurred to pay for my wife's drugs.

I'm sure you've noticed that Car dealers, Furniture stores, Granite showrooms, Etc all tend to use this.Unless you absolutely cannot afford to be close to JT, go for it.

Years ago when I applied for financing for a vehicle, I told the dealer to use my personal bank only for financing for the credit check, but a couple weeks later I noticed on my credit that they ran checks with four different lenders in that one day and all of them showed up on my credit report. 

He has continued to pay rent, but he has:Played loud music after midnight (Lease rule addendum violation)An unauthorized occupant (Lease Violation)Smoking in the apartment (Lease Violation)Possibly the unauthorized occupant is selling drugs.

But @Rob Pecha is right, if the DST is being sold through a broker-dealer, there is no option to go direct to the operator. 

Basically I am suggesting doing a consignment to local mobile home dealers and get paid from the downpayment when they sell.
