This may be ok, but it is important to remember that to give to one you must deny the other.If you rely on these properties to prepare for your future (and your family's future) then you may have to make a tough call here and raise the rents.

You can argue with them, pay them to fix the pre-wire or deny your tenant the service they paid the vendor to install.Second, the pre-wire needs to be thoroughly documented and instructions to installers coming on-site later on must be thorough, explicit and to code.
