@Bob Huggins if you're trying to get more organized as a property manager, the single best decision I ever made was hiring a bookkeeper.

Or better yet, hire an experienced Houston Realtor.Not sure if you’re new to Texas but make sure you understand the property tax system and that taxes are generally higher than many other US areas.  

@Val Jaz you definitely need to hire an attorney immediately.

Perhaps a nice 1950's built bungalow.Always hire a 3rd party property inspector to give you an unbiased feel for the home.

I personally show the properties I manage locally and for the ones I own at a distance, I hire management.

Most of the time the message is longer than the time allotted so it gets cropped, or my system sees it as a closed circuit not an actual air modulated voice, and hangs up.Every political party out there uses them, or something very similar.

There seems to be a lot of costs involved with setting up multiple entities and hiring an attorney to set them all up correctly and a CPA to assist with my books and write offs.

@Denise Pauzano unless you know the law inside and out, I always recommend hiring an eviction attorney the first couple of times.

Do you feel that if you hire the right property manager, it would be more beneficial to invest in the properties yourself?
