Some one would win the auction and get possession. 

I could have had personal stuff over there or a new tenant could have taken possession and I would have been in trouble.  

The tenant currently has possession of the property and a lease.

But there is a 99 year lease in place.In order for the fee owner to obtain possession of the property they would need to pursue that via the courts, including notifying interested parties (such as mortgagees) of the action.

But I am back and ready to take another crack at things now that I possess some knowledge from reading books and listening to podcasts.

I bought a flip a while back and was able to talk to the town inspector to give the CO despite some issues (water damage, cracked windows, etc) because he knew I was going to fix them all when I took possession.

With a sandwich, you are already leasing with an option and have possession and equitable interest so marketing to a sub TB won't be an issue.The issue is being broke.

so we finally get possession of our duplex we won at auction. legally, the company we went through to get deed said, we cannot talk to anyone or enter the property until the 30 day eviction is up. so this Saturday is the day the we willl go over and get a locksmith to enter.my wife found out from neighbor there is a 20 year long tenant upstairs but the owner lived in lower unit.

Then they realize they bought a property back at auction, wasted a bunch of money on legal fees, just to have possession to an inhabitable home until the bank gets around to foreclosing.

If all goes as it did last year, I will have possession by the end of December.Is it worth it?
