For all the people out there that are happy about the NAR Settlement, that are happy about "sticking it" to the RE Agent, claiming that RE Agents make too much money, don't provide good service/advice, that they don't have to pay high commissions any more, and that they can fill out "paperwork" and sell a house themselves...are the embodiment of ignorance and inexperience.

With a mortgage, you MIGHT get hammered if real estate prices fall, but you WILL get hammered when some economically ignorant "tenants rights" advocate or politician encourages people to not pay their rents, and now you can't make your monthly nut.

Of course it ignores the fact that several provinces have rent caps, so landlords can only increase rent when a tenant leaves and we have a turnover.
