Here's a tip @Asury Johnson, when nobody is immediately checking in to a STR after a cleaning we make the beds with the damp linens right out of the washing machine.

Your agent should provide tons of info on the 'machine' itself - ie cleaners, repairmen, service choices (ie cable, internet, pests, CLEANERS)... if they don't - why are you using them!?

If her home is close to the retirement home, perhaps people could stop by the vacant house on their way to visit grandma or stay there if they live out of town and are visiting grandma.I'd also disconnect the washing machine.

For example, give yourself 30 minutes in the evening after the kids are in bed and the house is cleaned (ie dishwasher is going, load of laundry in the machine).

@Tomas Cekauskas Put an "OUT OF ORDER" sign on the machines for one month so nobody uses them.

I can do that just in what I do for a living... and that has only business debt IE phones ( I was going to say fax machine but I don't know that I have sent a fax in 5 years)  accounting fees etc.We need debt in home construction that's a given but its short term..
