Family and work life balance

I am in the beginning stages of purchasing a rental property with a goal to close a deal in Kansas City this summer. I am looking for a long term single family residence. The ultimate goal is to have several cash flowing investments upon retirement.

My wife and I are 30 years old, have a 4 year old daughter, a new son on the way, and both work full time (plus some). We are both on the same page with the ultimate goal. However, I find myself obsessively researching, reaching out to people, analyzing, etc. to realize this goal. I worry about not prioritizing my wife, especially being pregnant, and family life. On the other side, I worry we will have even less time to get things going once we have an infant to care for again.

How do you balance work, family, and investing? I know it can be done as most successful people are currently doing it, but any practical tips and experiences would be appreciated.

Thanks!
