I've got the tenants lined up, and am planning to find and secure the deal.My longer term goal is to be financially free in 10 years or less and work to grow the business because I want to -- not because I have to.In my spare time I primarily enjoy cycling, hiking, traveling, and excellent food.I look forward to networking and meeting some awesome like-minded people here on BP!

Anyway as mentioned above, I am looking to volunteer my spare time in hopes of learning a thing or two about the real estate space to see if it is a path that I really want to invest time and money on (without blindly purchasing a property and learning the hard way).

I'd say the easiest and most effective way to get started is grab a duplex and rent the other side while also renting the spare bedrooms in your unit or finding a 4+ bedroom single family and renting out all of the other rooms that you aren't using.
