When you do compensate a licensed person that income is paid directly to their broker, never to them; the broker pays the licensee based on their agreement.

But, the WV real estate commission wont issue a license to a VA licensee unless they actually live in Virginia...so no DC or MD residents that are licensed in VA can get a WV license.

Maybe if your broker doesn't allow personal purchases for free, you'll act as a non-licensed buyer (not put it through your brokerage) but you'll still disclose that you're a licensee.
