Real Estate License

Real estate licensees (preferably in TX),

What is the process of taking an inactive license to active? Is it easy? I am studying for my real estate license but don’t plan to be a sales agent or work under a broker right away. I’m doing it for my own education and knowledge for now. However, if I did want to actively use my license in the future what would that look like?

Thanks for any info on this!

@Brad Scott You can be inactive for only 1 year as brand new agent. You will need a sponsoring Broker to go from inactive to active and the process only takes 2-mins from the comfort of your room with good internet.

As @Nathan Gesner mentioned, you will need to complete some continuing education before they can activate the license.
