Honestly, all things considered, I believe there are better provinces to invest in.

It's likely Canadian provinces have a similar requirement.

Bill Gulley By "soft" I was meaning the restriction being a policy or limit in practice, but not explicitly articled in the regulations.Up here each province has its own securities regulator and while there is generally harmonization between them, there is not an actual federal equivalent to SEC.  

In many provinces the most recent sales prices of any property, along with the property tax assessment, are available on-line.

If you exclude the Atlantic provinces (slow economy) and rural parts of the prairies the number is over 6.  

Russia did exactly what Georgia did in these provinces with Chechnya.

@Shawn Campbell I have real estate savvy friends in Indy, Lafayette and Northwest Indiana who I have done business with literally for decades, if you would like referrals.On another note I have a close acquaintance from Michigan City who taught English in Huladao City, Lianing Province.

I'd caution and factor in the 45 day moratorium before getting too excited and do keep in mind that we have a republican president about to take the helm and there is still a Federal Mandate do contend with.
