I'm about to close on a lot in Chicago logan square shortly and thinking about tearing down the 2-flat for a new single family.Can anyone who has done this help point me to the right direction?

I think a settlement offer is very possible in either situation.

@Will Sifert hi - super late to reply...as I stepped away from BP as I didn't think I wanted to do REI investing anymore but I do so I am back and glad this site exists because I definitely have learned a lot since our time at that tax lien event and have all plans to do things different this time around! 

Yes, it was a bumpy ride but I think we will be down in the mid 5s again in t he next 12 - 18 months.

I was thinking of creating an LLC (which I will do in the future but not for my first property) and renting the house to the llc for the first year.

But I think it’s only 9% I have so far since I just closed on the property in March or this year.

I've never bought a property this way and curious if others have done it and if you think it's a good idea and how you make sure to protect yourself.
