No lawyer is going to call you up and ask you if your property is in a LLC and base their lawsuit on your response.

If there is a law suit regarding the operating company (Traditional LLC,) it would be the Traditional LLC that gets implicated.

If you put 3 properties in 1 LLC, then a lawsuit regarding 1 property  could put all 3 properties at risk. 

Hey @Justin Mendoza you can always do Multi-Family buildings or what we have down in WPB is SFH's with a Mother in law suite in the back yard that you could live in. 

@Thomas Harris One of the posts was exactly right... tenants do not have a lot of money saved up so trying to collect on a lawsuit is just a waste of time and effort.

Sound like a landlord scam and all it will take is one lawsuit to fix the problem. 

Unless you have absolute proof or evidence that this tenant is actually smoking pot, then you can't accuse him or her of smoking it, and if I was accused of something like this, that was an illegal act,  and was talked to like that being innocent, there would be a lawsuit by me that would make your head swim.  

One major lawsuit wiped him out, caused him multiple heart attacks and generally left him wondering what hit him.  

You will not get a discount from him, but you will have everything you need for a lawsuit.
