I am seeing one here, one there, go on the market and I get the impression that they are slowly working on an exit strategy and testing the strength of the market.  

This impression begins at your first meeting.

I have no financial interest in her company, but she has spoken at one of the landlord groups I belong to, and I was impressed by her knowledge.   

My partner gets the impression the broker thinks of him as 'amatuer-ish' because were both relatively young and this would be our biggest investment to date.  

It's not fast-paced fancy REI, but I was under the impression that this was one strategy.
