Whoever told you that San Diego was a bad place to invest was wrong.It's only a bad place to invest if you like cash flow.  

Many send bulk they keep sending mailing to bad addresses and not know it.

You'll make far more in maintaining good units and giving appropriate yearly rent increases.Some multi-units own the equipment others rent.

Mark Douglas IMO: bad time to get into market now, especially for new investors, 2017.Experienced investors may still be able to find deals.
