The FHA appraisal came back at $225, then the lender required a second appraisal since it was a flip (title transferred less then 6 months ago...FHA flip guidelines) Of course the second appraisal came back in the 170s, killing the deal.

The only way to get this liens off is to hire an attorney to do a 'Quiet Title' but getting a first mortgage to release their lien is not often going to happen, unless they walk away from the property with the lien still on it.

Remember, these "wholesalers" are not licensed, not held to any standard, are usually out for a quick buck, and doubtfully have any E&O insurance.
