My question is whether this area has room left to appreciate beyond inflation?

If this is the case, the syndications are not actually a good deal for us tax-wise because it seems like we will never reap the benefits of those losses and they artificially inflate the gains showing on the K-1 (probably due to depreciation and recapture). 

I think people are looking for a store of value or inflation hedge right now.

The cost of insurance, taxes, labor and materials increases each year as does inflation.

Even IF someone wants to purchase a home at the top of the market, a bank is going to want to steer closer to the replacement cost of the home, and taxable value, rather than an inflated value.Instead of asking to buy out a property owner, find a larger land owner, and ask them if they would be willing to parcel out a small 1 acre or something.

They are outbidding everyone just to dominate the market and possibly as inflation hedge.

You can zlso profit from its' inflation and where it is at. 

The Fed is doing all it can to promote inflation- if the Fed is successful, owners of real estate stand to benefit.

It seems like single family home prices are holding up and rising around NYC and other urban centers as people flee due to COVID. Does it seem the case?
