Hello, I'm seeking a mortgage on a property that was purchased in a recent sheriff sale, property located in Union City, NJ.I've been assured that that are local banks that will underwrite mortgages even on the basis of an external appraisal (can't get  an internal one because I can't get in the property yet).Any ideas on which these "local banks" may be?

I think that depending on your brokerage's location that can be something to try.Trying to convert FSBOs to listings is another tried and true method of getting clients/listings, it's not easy but you can have some success with enough effort.

I'm happy doing calls to anyone on the ground, but not sure what's the appropriate cadence for someone out of state.I'm actually flying to meet with various individuals to hopefully create a team - would definitely like to create a long term relationship, as I may also potentially move to that location eventually.Appreciate these good questions...they have me thinking!
