Oddly enough, I had recently picked up the habit of marking all the abandoned and run down houses in my area, creating a small data base.

Florida is still doing quite well in terms of migration, so any of those cities will likely do well, but consider the cost of insurance, cost of living (Miami) and weather related events that might be more harmful in certain areas, especially coastal.
