Some are successful which is VERY dependent on the area if the country re quality of renters.  

I can say that if someone were to buy the house we are selling for a VR, and they were out of the country, I would be more than happy to set it up for such a use and include it in the price.

Sets me on the right path. 

I have many investors from other countries looking to take advantage of this sunny spot.  

Chinese investors are embarking on a huge project, a canal that will go east-west across the country.

They all transferred here from other countries, and have come to realize that the homes in this area are extremely high.  

I feel it’s going to follow along the same path as downtown Detroit.

Agents want you to buy the place, but this is a used car, most of them aren't going to lead you down a path that could get them sued later in life.A big part of REI is being at the right property at the right time.  

@Jean Paul Rousseau  many insurance companies do not like out of state or out of the country owners.  

Can't think of anywhere else in the country that uses these terms to describe multi-family properties.
