It depends on what your lease says.If your lease states that no modifications, repairs or improvements can be made by the tenant without prior consent, then I'd say it's a pretty strong case.If your lease is silent or states that tenant is responsible for repairs or does not need to get consent, then you might be on fairly shaky ground.
