I have budgeted to replace it but it just seems wasteful to replace something that is not broken (yet).

Our plan is to increase the value by upgrading the kitchen/bath (condo is 10 yrs old) new windows, crown molding ect.

They slap some new paint and steam clean the carpet and put it on the market where I'll use higher grade paint that is professionally painted ( at a good price) and put down laminate/hardwoods and upgrade or replace the central/heat air. 

My car costs around $3,500 and I don't plan on upgrading. 

Did you do a complete rewire or did you just upgrade the box?

My house has hardwood floors, granite, stainless steel appliances, an upgraded master bath and some custom carpentry/wainscoting in the entry way hall and up the stairs.There have been a couple recent comps at 1700/mo and 1850/mo (the latter being another model like mine with only upgraded floors).

I suspect they're removing formerly standard features to induce people to upgrade to PRO.

How about the owner that insisted that we had to replace the blinds in the entire house because one had a broken slat ("they have to match EXACTLY")? 

Yes it is a simple flyer broken down into four parts, each business gets 1/4 of a page, and we all go in together.
