The same concept would apply to these roles and percentages assigned to them.

The concept of equity is pretty cool.

You can learn on your own for free - or close to it - but these topics don't always come naturally to people just by reading a text book.Once you've gotten those concepts down, I think everything else you read (on here or elsewhere) will begin to click for you that much faster.

@Suzanne Guzman The one concept I would play with is taking the bathroom and swapping it for where the kitchen is. giving you access to make a walk in closet as well as a master bathroom, if you really think they will need living room access to the bathroom you can have a door go from the master and from the living room.

If investors have equity they can release in a house in their home country, that would be a lot simpler. 

It seems that he is having trouble with a lot of banks and this concept.

I agree with the above comments that you should start with a smaller and simpler deal.
