I would never advise a person to buy their first investment property sight unseen.Spent the $500 - $1,000 and fly out there and stay there for 2-3 days.Get a feel of the house, the neighborhood, meet your connections.After the first deal, it is okay to buy sight unseen but still get a home inspection.
