The roofline is still going to end up 1.5-2' below the 38', but our ceiling heights are going to be 9.5'-10'-10' on floors 1-2-3, so all is fine.

The drywall works consists of: All of the basement areas we are finishing (6'x6' bathroom and 12'x16' basement) First floor where we've made runs for plumbing and electric, Second floor about half of the walls we've moved, plus ceiling patching in most of the rooms for where the walls were moved.This came to about 48 sheets of drywall, or 1,534 sq. ft.

You can assume that if your home is built before 1980 and you have popcorn ceiling that there is asbestos in it.

I'd scrape the ceiling too. 

I use Behr white ceiling, SW white trim paint, the color it comes off the shelf.

Here is what most any paint vendor will recommend:Flat - Ceilings (In my experience, apartments use flat paint on walls because it is cheap and hides blemishes on the wall better (it reflects less light).

We've taken out the popcorn ceiling in the 4 bedrooms and bathroom and skim coated, sanded smooth and painted.

However, the only tenants making a fuss were these ones.They started to complain about their bathroom ceiling leaking, the faucet not working properly, etc.

We are removing the acoustic on the ceiling and repainting it.

Being it was a quad level I could see down in the lower level and noticed that all the drywall had been removed from the ceiling and was very dirty.
