Ideally at this time I will be able to do real estate full time if I choose.I'm interested in both the buy/hold/rent strategy for long term growth as well as the occasional flip (1-3 per year) for additional cash to fund my other strategy.I've been spending time getting familiar with the forums and some of the knowledge available here as well as looking into my local REI chapter.

Sites like realtor.com, Zillow and Truila also receive data from the MLS's but in my experience there can be time lags and occasionally flat out incorrect information.

When I had to make trips there for the occasional fixes (Pipe froze and busted in the winter, tree blew over from wind, etc) it was pretty easy.
